Our Name

The name Approach International conveys multiple layers of significance that echo our mission and philosophy of ministry. Stated simply, to approach means to "draw near." We place a heavy emphasis on relationship, both in individual interactions and in ministry activity alongside our partners. We urge our workers to connect deeply to one another and to those whom we are trying to serve. Our God has also summoned us to boldly draw near to him. We've been given an amazing privilege as God's adopted children to "approach his throne of grace with confidence" (Hebrews 4:16). Drawing near to God can be humbling. Getting close to others can be risky. We believe it's all worth it!
